Mediation Services

        Offering intervention between conflicting parties to promote settlement, reconciliation or compromise, mediation is a proven method for the early settlement of claims, lawsuits or other disputes. It provides the benefit of resolving legal matters, prior to incurring prohibitive trial expenditures such as expert fees and deposition costs, thus lowering the costs for the parties.  Protracted litigation can often exceed the value of a claim, thus greatly reducing the value of a trial court judgment.  This makes mediation a cost effective solution to many disputes.

        Mediator - H. Tim Hoffman, is a former Referee for the California State Bar Ethics Court; Arbitrator for State and Alameda County Bar Associations Attorney/Client Fee Disputes. In his capacity as Referee for CSBEC, he has recommended decisions to the Review Committee on numerous occasions. Mr. Hoffman taught Labor Law at Merritt College for many years. He has represented clients in administrative hearings and judicial proceedings involving labor and employment claims.  With over 30 years of legal experience, Mr. Hoffman is uniquely qualified to mediate civil disputes.
